Job Title: Accounts AssistantIncrease your chances of reaching the interview stage by reading the complete job description and applying promptly.Reports to: Fleet AccountantDepartment: FinanceLocation: Exeter Head OfficeKey Purpose of RoleThe key purpose of the role is to provide accurate data regarding the purchasing and re-marketing of our fleet. Data will be sourced from the used vehicle market via market research and analysis, along with use of manufacturer websites. The role will ideally suit an analytical individual who has a keen interest in motor vehicles and works well as part of a team.Were happy to consider candidates who have recently left education, have a keen interest in numbers and are looking to take their first step in a finance team.Main DutiesMeasuring & analysing used vehicle online pricingAnalysis of Industry Guide vehicle dataError and logic checking of retail pricing documentsIdentifying changes in used retail informationMiscellaneous vehicle searches on an ad-hoc basisGeneral data housekeepingAssist with the management of vehicle pricing filesRun sense checks on pricing files to ensure accuracy at all timesAssisting Pricing Team with Remarketing Enquiries as requiredAdditional ad-hoc duties as given by Line ManagerSpecial Working Conditions37.5 hours per week Monday to FridayCompany ResponsibilitiesTo undertake any additional duties at the request of your Line Manager, that are deemed to be within your competency levels.To adhere to all Scot Group policies and procedures.To undertake any training and development activities at the request of your Line Manager.Keep safe and secure, all company assets.Contribute fully as a Team Member, assisting others in their roles as requested by Line Manager.Skills, Experience and/or Qualifications RequiredIdeally good working knowledge of Vehicle Manufacturers, Models, Derivatives & Features.Ideally a good knowledge of MS applications in particular Excel.Ability to analyse data and identify errors or trends.Ability to build an understanding of Scot Group internal and bespoke programs.Will have, or be able to learn quickly, comprehensive understanding of Thrifty Fleet.Must be open-minded and flexible within the role.Applicant must demonstrate flexibility to deal with, and adapt to, an ever-changing business environment.Company BenefitsContribution to Group Personal Pension Scheme.A long Service Award scheme.Free On-site gym.Cycle to work scheme.Discounted car hire rates.Thrifty SavingsDiscounts at various retail shops/supermarkets.Two paid staff events across the year.Free On-site parking.Close to bus & rail routes.TPBN1_UKTJ
