Job Description Job Title: Construction Site Engineer BESS ProjectContract Type: Contract (Outside IR35)Duration: 12 MonthsStart Date: ASAPLocation: UK Site BasedOverviewWe are seeking an experienced Construction Site Engineer to support the delivery of a large-scale Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project. This is a 12-month contract role starting ASAP, working outside IR35, and will be fully site-based overseeing construction activities.The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring construction works are delivered safely, on schedule, and in accordance with engineering specifications and project requirements.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee day-to-day site construction activities related to the BESS installation.Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers on site.Ensure construction works are delivered in line with design drawings, technical specifications, and project standards.Monitor progress against the construction schedule and report updates to the project team.Ensure compliance with HSE regulations and site safety procedures.Support site inspections, quality checks, and technical issue resolution.Liaise with engineering, project management, and commissioning teams.Maintain accurate site documentation and reporting.RequirementsProven experience working as a Site Engineer / Construction Engineer on infrastructure, energy, or power projects.Experience with BESS, renewable energy, substations, or power infrastructure is highly desirable.Strong understanding of construction management and site coordination.Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation.Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.Right to work in the UK.If you are interested, please email your updated CV to [email protected].
