Job Overview Three days Office No billable Hours, work life balance As an integral part of our senior management team, the In-House Counsel is tasked with providing expert legal guidance and support to ensure our operations align with all applicable laws and regulations. This position requires robust understanding of contract negotiation. Our ideal candidate must be a proactive problem solver and strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills and a strong ethical foundation. In this dynamic role, you will work closely with various departments, external customers, finance, human resources, and the board, providing pragmatic and commercial advice that drive informed business decisions and safeguard our organisational interests. Essential Skills Providing legal advice and guidance to the board and other company departments. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts and other legal documents. Ensuring compliance with legal regulations. C oordinating with external legal counsel as needed and representing the company on debt collection and other legal matters Overseeing corporate governance and ensuring adherence to corporate policies. Working with Compliance Manager to ensure full compliance with GDPR regulations Desirable Skills Drafting, negotiating and advising on commercial leases and related documentation Employment law experience Experience 3 years post qualification experience in the UK ideally in an in-house commercial counsel or similar business -based legal role Strong background in commercial law or contract law Exceptional negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Experience in a specific industry relevant to the companys operations. Ability to analyse complex legal issues and provide sound legal advice. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
