Job DescriptionCogent Staffing are recruiting for Warehouse Operative/Pickers for our established automotive distribution client based in Marsh Barton, Exeter.Role summary:This is a temporary to permanent role, with successful candidates taken on as a permanent member of staff after a period of 12 qualifying weeks.Warehouse operations with some relief driving duties, it is essential you hold a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points (SP30, speeding offences only).Shifts & salary:Monday to Friday 08:30 - 17:30Alternating Saturday mornings 08:00 - 12:00 (non negotiable)12.21 per hour1 hour unpaid break per shift42 hour working week averageOngoing work with potential for a permanent role after 12 full weeks qualifying periodRole details:Generating pick sheetsPicking order loads from sheetsPacking accuratelyCarrying out warehouse operations, packing orders, processing goodsUsing hand held scanners to pick ordersManual handling and heavy lifting of up to 30kg when requiredDriving to regular customers if required with around 10-12 drops per runFollowing company health and safety guidelines at all timesThe candidate:This is predominantly a warehouse role not driving, please apply if you are happy doing both warehouse and driving workMust have no more than 6 points on driving licenceMust be prepared to pick and load van dailyHas previous warehouse experienceMust be capable of lifting up to 30kgComfortable with driving long distances following route navigation when neededHappy to work within the warehouse not majority drivingImmediate starts available following a visit to site and informal chat with the hiring manager.Cogent Staffing is an equal opportunities recruiter, and we welcome applications from all suitably skilled or qualified applicants, regardless of their race, sex, disability, religion/beliefs, sexual orientation, or age.JBRP1_UKTJ
