Flood and Coastal Risk Management Officer Portfolio Management Office - 31266The Environment Agency is seeking a Flood and Coastal Risk Management Officer to support the allocation of funding within our National Portfolio Management Office. The role involves ensuring funds are well allocated to achieve flood risk outcomes, working with team members and external partners, seeking technical input, and managing local program allocations. The officer will also help ensure effective program management and activity to improve flood outcomes. We are committed to inclusivity and offer flexible work arrangements. The team manages funding for FCRM's investment programs and monitors performance to meet goals such as community flood protection. This role is within the FCRM National Directorate, part of the Portfolio Management Assurance and Commercial team. Experience and Skills RequiredMethodical working with attention to detail Ability to prioritize and manage workload effectively Calmness under pressure and proactive initiative Strong relationship-building skills Proficiency in Excel, GIS data mapping, dashboards, and Power BI Experience managing portfolios or working in program environments (preferred) Excellent communication skills, including PowerPoint for complex topics Contact and Additional InformationContact: This is a hybrid role, with no fixed base location, involving some travel to London, Birmingham, and Bristol. All staff participate in training and incident response duties, supporting communities and the environment. Interviews are scheduled via MS Teams before 15 July.
