Job DescriptionBid Manager Civils | Hybrid Working Exeter-based with regional travel Civils Projects up to 15m Hybrid: Up to 2 days WFH Full-Time | PermanentA Tier 1 civil engineering contractor is seeking a dynamic Bid Manager to lead all aspects of the pre-construction phase, including pre-tender, live tender, and post-tender activity. With a strong pipeline of infrastructure and highways projects across the Southwest typically up to 15m in value this is a pivotal role that will shape our success in securing and mobilising new work. What You'll DoOwn and lead the tender pipeline across the Southwest regionAlign bid strategy with business goals and ensure resourcing is effectiveOversee bid content including CVs, case studies, social value, and ESG dataManage tender governance and internal sign-off processesSupport subcontractor engagement and tender analysisCapture and share client feedback to drive continuous improvementFacilitate post-award client meetings and pre-commencement engagementEnsure smooth handovers to delivery teams and contribute to early-stage planning What Youll BringStrong pre-construction, estimating or bid management experience in the construction industry preferably within highways or civilsExcellent client-facing skills with a commercial mindsetAbility to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities in a fast-paced environmentConfidence with CRM systems and structured governance processesA full UK driving licenceExperience leading business transformation or process improvement initiativesThis is a great opportunity for someone who thrives at the front end of project lifecycles and wants to influence how major civils projects are secured and mobilised.
