Our job is to help clients create workplaces where everyone can do their best work.What you'll be doingAs our Finance and Operations Administrator, youll play a key role in keeping the heart of Fitzgerald running smoothly. Youll support the Finance and Operations team with the day-to-day processes that keep everything organised, accurate and on track. From credit control and payroll support to systems, HR and client administration, youll be right at the centre of the work that helps the business operate effectively.Youll prepare documents, maintain records, support financial and compliance reporting, and help keep our systems up to date. Youll also play an important part in keeping communication flowing, from responding to internal queries to supporting clients with onboarding, timesheets and essential information.This means youll:Support credit control activities and bookkeeping tasks, helping us keep cashflow healthy and records accurate.Prepare invoices, expenses and financial statements for review, making sure everything reconciles properly.Assist with financial reporting and compliance, producing clear and timely information.Help with routine finance queries and data updates.Assist with payroll preparation for Fitzgerald and our clients, updating payroll records cleanly and accurately.Liaise with clients, accountants and system providers to support smooth payroll processes.Keep employee and client records up to date across our systems, including setting up new starters and new clients.Support colleagues with systems queries and help maintain data accuracy across internal platforms.Provide HR administration support, preparing documents, posting job roles, scheduling interviews and helping with onboarding.Produce timesheet information for billing and prepare terms of service and schedules of work for review.Support operational processes, team inboxes and general business administration to help keep everything running smoothly.Pitch in with wider projects, logistics and day-to-day tasks so colleagues have what they need to deliver great work.No two days will look exactly the same, but every day youll make sure the details are right and the work keeps moving.About youYoull bring experience in finance, payroll or operations administration, and youll be confident working with numbers, data and detailed information. Youll have supported bookkeeping, invoicing or credit control processes before, and youll understand how important accuracy and organisation are in a busy operational role. Youll also have some experience supporting payroll, whether thats preparing information, updating records or coordinating with clients and system providers.Youll be someone who naturally keeps things tidy and running smoothly. Youll enjoy organising, prioritising and planning ahead, and youll be comfortable juggling different tasks without losing sight of the detail. Strong communication skills are important too. Youll be clear, friendly and confident; whether youre responding to queries or creating documents others rely on.Relationships matter to you. Youll work fairly and openly with others, building trust through being reliable and approachable. Youll be curious, keen to learn, and willing to pitch in where needed so the team can deliver great work. Youll also be comfortable using technology, from Outlook and Excel to online systems and platforms, and youll hold a UK driving licence so you can travel when required.Above all, youll take pride in doing things properly.
