We provide practical, commercially focused HR support that gives clients confidence, clarity, and choicewithout unnecessary complexity.Due to continued growth in our client base, we are looking for an experienced, commercially minded HR Consultant to join our small, friendly team based in our modern offices in Euxton.The RoleThis is a busy, hands-on consulting role suited to an HR professional who enjoys working at pace with multiple clients and seeing work through from start to finish.You will manage a varied caseload across a wide range of SMEs and sectors, delivering everything from day-to-day HR support and administration through to complex employee relations cases, including drafting bespoke contracts, policies, and employee handbooks.You will assess each clients situation, clearly explain their options, and support them in achieving their preferred outcome using pragmatic, commercially sound solutions. Our advice is never one size fits all or overly risk-aversewe focus on what works for the client, while staying compliant.While our client solutions are creative and tailored, our internal operations are process-driven. You must be comfortable following established systems and procedures consistently to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and excellent client service.Key ResponsibilitiesManaging multiple client cases simultaneously, from initial enquiry through to resolutionProviding day-to-day HR advice (disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance management, restructures)Handling more complex employee relations cases with confidenceDrafting and updating bespoke employment contracts, policies, and handbooksBuilding strong, trusted relationships with clients remotely and in personDelivering clear, practical advice supported by tailored documentationAccurately recording work and following internal systems, processes, and standards(Please note: we do not advise on or represent clients in tribunal matters.)About YouYou are an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced consulting environment and enjoys balancing structure with creative problem-solving.You will bring:Strong knowledge of HR and UK employment law, with the confidence to apply it pragmaticallyExperience managing HR cases end-to-endA consulting or multi-stakeholder background (desirable)CIPD qualification (or working towards), or equivalent HR experienceExcellent written and spoken English, with a confident, friendly communication styleStrong organisation skills and attention to detailConfidence following processes while thinking creatively for clientsHigh levels of IT literacy (MS Office, CRM systems, and other platforms)A full driving licence, access to your own vehicle, and willingness to travel occasionallyYoull be comfortable working independently, managing competing priorities, and responding flexibly to client needswhile remaining calm, supportive, and professional.What Youll GainExposure to a wide variety of clients, sectors, and HR challengesThe opportunity to deepen your employee relations and employment law expertiseOngoing learning and professional developmentThe chance to shape client solutions and build long-term relationshipsA supportive team environment with clear systems and processesWorking Arrangements & BenefitsHours: Monday to Friday, 9am5pm (with flexibility required to meet client needs)Location: Office-based in Euxton with client travelHoliday: 33 days including bank holidays, plus your birthday offExpenses: Business mileage (office to client sites)Employee Assistance SchemeAnnual comprehensive blood testsTeam activities throughout the yearFree on-site car parkingGrassroots HR Ltd is already working with a leading recruitment agency in relation to this role, and therefore we are only interested in candidates applying directly, not via recruitment agencies enquiring on a candidate's behalf.
