Quality Manager

Job Description An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Quality Manager to join a well-established Fresh Produce business in Essex, as part of an exciting project to build and strengthen their Quality team.This role will play a key part in maintaining and developing high quality and food safety standards across the business, while supporting the development of a newly structured quality function.The RoleReporting into the senior technical leadership team, the Quality Manager will be responsible for ensuring robust quality systems are in place while driving standards across the site.Key responsibilities include:Leading and developing the site Quality teamEnsuring compliance with customer requirements and food safety standardsMaintaining and improving quality management systemsSupporting audits and ensuring standards are maintained across the siteDriving continuous improvement within quality processesWorking closely with production, technical, and operational teams to maintain product standardsAbout YouThe successful candidate will have strong experience within food manufacturing or Fresh Produce, with a passion for quality and continuous improvement.You will likely have:Experience in a Quality Manager or Senior Quality role within food manufacturing or Fresh ProduceStrong knowledge of food safety standards, HACCP, and retailer requirementsExperience managing or mentoring quality teamsA proactive approach and strong attention to detailExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence across departmentsThe OpportunityThis is an excellent opportunity to join a business investing in its quality function, where you will have the chance to help shape the structure and culture of the team moving forward.
