Product Manager - Fresh ProduceLocation: South Essex Type: Full Time, On-site Work Environment: Packhouse / warehouse-basedWe’re supporting a leading UK fresh produce business in their search for a Product Manager to join their operational site in South Essex. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on experience in product or quality management within a fresh produce manufacturing or packhouse environment.This role plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction, managing product integrity, and maintaining high internal standards across quality and stock performance.The Role:You’ll be responsible for the full product lifecycle – from managing daily stock allocations to verifying quality reports and addressing customer feedback. You’ll collaborate closely with planning, technical, and quality teams to ensure the smooth and compliant flow of product through the business.Key Responsibilities:Manage and maintain stock levels for customer ordersProduce daily usage and stock allocation reportsConduct and oversee product re-inspectionsVerify and publish quality control reports and actionsInvestigate customer rejections and update internal systems accordinglyMaintain communication with customer product and technical contactsProvide weekly product performance updatesMaintain internal service level and complaints dashboardsCandidate Profile:Proven experience in product or quality management within a fresh produce, food manufacturing, or packhouse settingStrong understanding of stock allocation, product lifecycle, and quality standardsComfortable working in a cold, time-sensitive, operational environmentStrong communicator with the ability to work cross-functionallyFlexible and hands-on, especially during peak trading periodsDE&IAt Elliott Charles International Selection, diversity, equity, and inclusion are fundamental to our identity.
