Senior Estimator

Job Title: Senior EstimatorLocation: Essex – Office / Hybrid WorkingSalary: Up to £65,000 + PackageWe are currently working with a specialist subcontractor based in Essex, who are seeking a Senior Estimator to lead the preparation of competitive tenders for façade and drylining projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing, dynamic business with a strong pipeline of work across London and the South East.Key Responsibilities:Analyse tender documentation, architectural and structural drawings, and specificationsPrepare accurate take-offs and cost estimates for cladding, curtain walling, SFS, drylining, and render packagesSource and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to inform tender submissionsLiaise with clients, consultants, and internal teams to clarify requirements and resolve technical queriesSubmit detailed and competitive tenders, ensuring deadlines and bid strategies are metAttend tender meetings and provide input on pricing models and commercial strategyMaintain estimating databases, pricing libraries, and cost benchmarksSupport smooth project handovers to delivery teams post-awardRequirements:Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in façades or drylining (subcontractor background preferred)In-depth knowledge of façade systems (rainscreen cladding, curtain walling, SFS) and drylining methodsAbility to interpret drawings/specifications and perform accurate measurementsProficient with Microsoft Excel and estimating software such as Bluebeam, OnScreen Takeoff, or similarStrong commercial acumen, attention to detail, and analytical skillsConfident working to multiple deadlines in a fast-paced tendering environmentIf you’re an experienced Estimator ready to take a senior role in a well-established business with ambitious growth plans — we’d love to hear from you.
