At Nescot, we are recruiting for an enthusiastic, dynamic and flexible person to join the Foundation Learning team. You will support our construction and groundwork teachers and learners across Entry Level 1,2, 3 and Level 1.Full time and part time options available.Term time only 38 weeks per yearWhat we are looking for:A working knowledge of multi- skillconstruction trades, groundwork, and horticulture, with practical skills across these areasA relevant vocational qualification, industry experience, or a background in a related trade or land-based sector.Experience maintaining horticulture and construction areasExperience working within a teamPassion for working with people of all ages, especially young adults and school leavers with SEND and additional learning needsCommitment to student learning and attainmentHighly organised, have initiative, be adaptable and flexible in your approach to workHigh level of interpersonal, motivational and communicationDuties/responsibilities:Allocated groundwork session where you will support our SEND learners with practice activity including entry level horticulture, groundwork and constructionResponsible for the preparation of materials, and maintaining the department facilities, ordering materials and supplies, supporting in trip organisingAssist with open evenings and meet the tutor eveningsAssist staff in preparing materials for the learning environment, maintaining and organising the facilities within the department including construction workshops, outdoor learning space and polytunnelWork alongside lecturers, providing workshops and demonstrations for the studentsBenefits:A discounted on-site gym, sports hall, fitness class, osteopathy and day nursery5-minute walk from Ewell East StationDiscounted StarbucksFree online qualificationsFree parking on-siteNescot is graded Good by Ofstedfollowing its latest inspection in January 2023.
