Procurement Manager

Job DescriptionOur client a leading manufacturing, wholesale, and retail business based in Epping is looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team.Reporting to the Head of Finance this role as Procurement Manager will be responsible for:Selection of all new products for wholesale & retail tradeSign off on all stock purchase orders and pricingFull stock availabilityIdentifying products and ranges to enhance the product offeringWorking with the buying, test and marketing teams to make sure productscome to market within given time framesScheduling all new product testing and product evaluation with the inhouse engineering team to meet current directivesViewing all goods inward Quality Control reports, new product evaluationreports, warranty reports and making company decisions as to next courseof actionDeciding with the team what items will be deleted from the rangeWorking with marketing team to identify products for promotional activityManaging the flow of new products from import through the new productengineering team and then private label development with marketingSetting the Trade and Retail prices for all newly selected products basedon company margin requirementsOngoing review of retail market to ensure that current and new productsare competitiveSelection of inbound shipping agencies.Key Skills Required:A proven track record of procurement and management experience(essential) at least 10 years in a management positionEntrepreneurial person with a can do attitude.Experience of direct imports of finished consumer products from the FarEast is essentialAbility to understand and influence key financial purchasing issues andsenior team membersAbility to explain, present and influence in a clear, concise, compelling andconsistent mannerAbility to plan, prioritise and delegate to achieve deadlinesAbility to make difficult decisionsKnowledge of the key market commodities, the processes and the majorsuppliersProven track record of leading teamsExcellent, clear and concise communication skills.
