Job DescriptionJob Title: Parts AdvisorReporting to: Parts ManagerDepartment: Mechanical (Service Centre)About usCar Planet, one of the UKs fastest growing car retailers (1500+ cars in stock) is looking for a talented Parts advisor to join the team.The RoleWe are looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Vehicle Parts Advisor to join our team and help maintain our reputation for excellence.Job DescriptionAs a Vehicle Parts Advisor, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, managing inventory efficiently, and collaborating closely with our service department to ensure seamless operations.Key ResponsibilitiesSupplier Relationships: Establish and maintain positive relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms and ensure the availability of high-quality parts.Inventory Management: Monitor and manage stock levels, order new stock, and track inventory to ensure optimal levels are maintained.Parts Identification: Use catalogues and software to accurately identify the correct parts for various vehicles.Collaboration: Work closely with the service department to ensure timely and accurate delivery of parts for repair jobs, facilitating effective communication between departments.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory updates, and supplier communications.RequirementsExperience: Previous experience as a Parts Advisor or in a similar role within the automotive industry.Knowledge: Strong understanding of automotive parts and systems.Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Technology: Proficient in using parts catalogues, inventory management software, and supplier management systems.Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers to secure the best terms and prices.Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy parts and perform physical tasks as needed.Compensation PackageBasic up to 35k (depending on experience)Working DaysWeek 1 - 5 days (Mon Fri)Week 2 6 days (Mon Sat)Working HoursMonday to Friday: 08:30 18:00Saturday: 09:00 14:00Job Type: Full-timePay: 27,000.00-35,000.00 per yearAdditional pay:Performance bonusBenefits:Casual dressEmployee discountSchedule:Monday to FridayWeekend availabilityAbility to commute/relocate:Enfield, EN1 1UD: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)Experience:automotive parts: 1 year (required)Work Location: In person
