Job Description HGV TechnicianEllesmere PortMon to Fri Days - Earlies & Lates18.90 p/hNMS are partnered with a leading fleet management company, who are looking for a HGV Technician to complete their team at their facility in Ellesmere Port. The contract they hold enables them to provide key truck and trailer maintenance to one of the largest manufacturers in the UK.This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems, as well as hands-on experience with various tools and equipment. The position involves working in a dynamic environment where safety, efficiency, and customer service are paramount.Responsibilities:Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on a large fleet of trucks and trailersDiagnose faults using schematics and electrical testing equipmentPerform various tasks involving fabrication, welding, soldering, and assembly of componentsUtilise hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to carry out repairs and modificationsComplete job cards as required, maintaining accurate records of work carried out and parts usedAssist with the repair of hydraulic systems and other specialised machineryEnsure all work complies with health and safety regulations and client standardsSupport the team in diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues efficientlyEssential Requirements:Level 3 in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance OR a minimum 5 years experience in a similar heavy vehicle maintenance roleClass 1 LicenseElectrical experience combined with mechanical knowledgeCompetence in reading schematics and technical diagramsExcellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety and efficiencyDesired Requirements:Skilled in fabrication and weldingKnowledge of maintenance guidelines for heavy vehicles and plant equipmentFLT LicenseThe Package:18.90 p/h for Earlies/LatesMonday to Friday working pattern, no weekendsTraining provided including IRTEC, LOLER and BPWExcellent benefits including a leading pension scheme, enhanced paternity leave, employee discounts, 1,000 referral bonus & more!Work in a state-of-the-art workshop with modern amenitiesIf you're an experienced HGV Technician who is looking for a new challenge with a business who can help advance their career, then this is the role for you.
