This heavy engineering company is embarking on a large-scale growth & transformation journey, with considerable investment from its parent company. As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineering Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site. As the Maintenance Engineering Manager you will have the responsibility to be the driving force behind a high performing, multidisciplinary engineering team. This will give you the opportunity to contribute to products and technologies that have far-reaching impact across multiple industries. How youll add value: Lead, coach, and develop a high performing maintenance team. Set clear priorities that align with production, maintenance, and safety goals. Drive a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement. Oversee root cause analysis and long term corrective actions to boost equipment reliability. Improve asset performance by partnering closely with maintenance and ensuring strong engineering standards. Optimise processes to enhance throughput, yield, energy efficiency, and product quality. Use data to identify bottlenecks and implement effective, lasting solutions. Lead capital projects, including equipment upgrades, facility improvements, and commissioning activities. Champion a strong safety culture and support risk assessments, HAZOPs, and compliance initiatives. Collaborate cross functionally, advising leadership on equipment condition, risks, and long term planning.About you: You will have a bachelors degree, or equivalent, in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related engineering field.You will have experience in a heavy industry environment Proven leadership of engineering or technical teams.Strong knowledge of industrial equipment (furnaces, mills, casting lines, cranes, hydraulics, automation).Experience in project management and continuous improvement.What you can expect: Competitive salary Private MedicalDental insuranceCompetitive pension scheme25 days holiday + Bank holidaysLength of service awards
