From humble beginnings, Craigies Farm has grown to become one of the UK’s leading farm shop destinations and represents the very best in modern Scottish farming.Craigies Shop was opened in 1988 with a one-table shop in a converted barn and added the Café in 2007. It has expanded over the years to offer an extensive Pick Your Own and Little Farmers, an adventure farm park for children and families opened in Summer 2021.At Craigies Farm you can eat, shop, play and ‘PYO’ surrounded by stunning countryside just outside Edinburgh. You can see the produce we grow in our fields, pick your own fruit, see how our jams are made and enjoy the very best in food and drink that’s on our doorstep!Christmas at Craigies will be focusing on a more traditional event with boosting the magic around Christmas, meeting Santa, Mrs Claus & Splatz the elf! Our Christmas Performers will be crucial in delivering this experience, interacting with customers, delivering performances and providing magical family fun. Amongst these is of course, Santa.Our successful candidates will be given a general character brief and provided with a script. They will have to be available at weekends throughout December for performances. We are looking for people who love performing, love providing amazing experience and have a high level of energy and enthusiasm.Salary will be dependent upon experience and salary: £12.50-£14.50 per hour depending upon experience. The event is only taking place at weekends from November 29th - December 21st, shifts are currently 6 - 7 hours per day (Saturday & Sunday) but these may increase due to high demand but notice on this will be given.To apply, please email a copy of your CV to deadline is Monday 17 November 2025 at 09:00.
