Quantity Surveyor

Job Description An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a construction and development organisation delivering residential, refurbishment and commercial projects across Scotland. The role offers strong autonomy, varied project exposure and the chance to play a key part in shaping highquality developments. Youll lead the commercial and surveying responsibilities across multiple projects, taking ownership of both pre and postcontract cost management. This includes financial control, forecasting, reporting, contract administration, subcontractor management and maintaining productive relationships with clients and project teams. Youll help ensure designs remain within budget, support tendering and procurement processes, and contribute to continuous improvement in commercial systems and site performance.Key ResponsibilitiesFull financial and contractual management of assigned projectsAccurate cost forecasting, monitoring and reportingManaging subcontractor accounts, tenders, payments and variationsEnsuring robust cost control, valuations and costvalue reconciliationSupporting design development within budget constraintsAttending project meetings and presenting commercial updatesContributing to health 'safety documentation and complianceWhat Youll BringDegree (or equivalent) in Quantity SurveyingStrong analytical, organisational and problemsolving capabilityAble to work independently and take ownership of outcomesSkilled communicator with the ability to build strong working relationshipsExperience managing clients, subcontractors and supply chain partnersKnowledge of construction legislation, H&S obligations and NHBC standardsCompetent IT skills, ideally with Microsoft 365Full UK driving licenceThis is a fulltime, permanent position offering longterm stability, diverse workload and meaningful scope for professional growth.
