We underpin the lives of millions of individuals and businesses and play a key role in helping to build a growing UK economy.You'll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a team of c200 colleagues within the Finance Division, providing centralised support and expertise to the rest of Finance and the Business.This role is a 12-month fixed term contract, supporting the Commercial Banking (CB) Financial Control team in Group Finance Support responsible for the financial control activity, reconciliation and basis of substantiation of data on a monthly basis.Day to day you'll be supporting with the following:Lead, coach and develop a team of professional individualsLead the month end process ensuring all deadlines are metCollaborating closely with a large number of internal teams including finance business partners, other GFS teams, operational teams, company secretarial and external auditorsTaking ownership of control issues or balance sheet breaks, ensuring that these are owned and remediating action plans are in placeCollaborating closely with a large number of internal teams including finance business partners, other GFS teams, operational teams, and external auditorsDelivery focused and thrives working in a time pressured environment over month endDemonstrate proficient stakeholder management skills and ability to create effective working relationships across multiple Finance teamsActively support and empower junior colleagues to assist in the creation of a successful and engaged team to achieve objectives and deliver above expectationsReview and oversight of junior colleagues' outputs, and timely escalation to appropriate management for issue resolutionProactively challenge processes to support a culture of continuous improvement and a curious mind-setMaintain a robust financial control frameworkWhy Lloyds Banking GroupIf you think all banks are the same, you'd be wrong.
