Investment Onboarding Administrator

Eden Scott's client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Administrator to join their Corporate New Business Onboarding Team. This is a pivotal role within the first line of defence, focused on ensuring the efficient, compliant, and timely onboarding of new corporate and institutional investment clients. You will be responsible for leading end-to-end onboarding processes, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met in line with AML, CDD, and EDD standards, and ensuring excellent service delivery throughout the client journey.Manage the full lifecycle onboarding of new corporate, institutional, and high-value investment clients.Conduct Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) checks in accordance with UK and international AML regulations.Perform in-depth analysis of corporate structures, ownership, source of wealth/funds, and identify beneficial owners (UBOs).Liaise with clients, relationship managers, and compliance to collect and verify KYC documentation including proof of identity, company incorporation, trust deeds, and tax residency declarations.Risk-rate new clients based on internal risk scoring tools and AML risk frameworks.Review, validate, and escalate high-risk cases to the compliance and financial crime teams as required.Coordinate with internal teams to ensure all systems are updated with accurate client data and onboarding status.Ensure all onboarding activity is conducted in accordance with FCA guidelines, internal AML policies, The Money Laundering Regulations (MLR), Sanctions Screening, and other applicable financial crime regulations.Remain up-to-date with industry and regulatory developments relating to AML/CFT, CDD, and investment compliance.Support audits, internal reviews, and regulatory inspections by maintaining complete and accurate records.Understand the product suite including investment funds, portfolio management, corporate accounts, SIPPs, OEICs, and ISAs.Ensure product-specific onboarding requirements are captured, such as mandates, client classifications (MiFID II), and regulatory disclosures.Act as the first point of contact for onboarding-related queries from clients and internal stakeholders.Provide professional, timely, and client-centric service ensuring a smooth and seamless onboarding experience.Support the transition from onboarding into ongoing relationship management or account servicing.Identify opportunities to streamline and improve onboarding procedures and controls.Assist in updating onboarding checklists, SOPs, and training materials in line with changing regulatory requirements.Provide support and guidance to junior team members and act as a point of escalation for complex cases.Participate in internal projects, system migrations, or regulatory change implementations where onboarding input is required.Person SpecificationMinimum 3–5 years of experience in a client onboarding, CDD, AML, or compliance role within financial services or investments.Strong knowledge of UK AML regulations, CDD/EDD requirements, and FCA guidelines.Experience dealing with corporate structures, trusts, regulated entities, and complex ownership hierarchies.Familiarity with investment products and platforms, especially in relation to corporate clients.Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.Proven ability to manage multiple onboarding cases simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a client-first mindset.Proficient in Microsoft Office and experience using onboarding/KYC workflow systemsPlease only apply if you are based in Scotland and have the above experienceIf you feel you can rise to the challenge, please contact Karen Kerr at the earliest opportunity on 0131 550 1129 or e-mail Scott offers the services of an employment agency for permanent work and an employment business for temporary work.This position may be just one of numerous opportunities we are handling that you could have an interest in pursuing.
