We are seeking experienced Site Managers to join our team to oversee day-to-day operations on our residential housing sites in Edinburgh and the Scottish Borders.Successful candidates will be responsible for ensuring that all construction activities are completed safely, built to the highest quality, on time and within budget. You will be expected to manage site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, liaise with external consultants and be an integral part of the Whiteburn team.You will be customer facing and an ambassador for Whiteburn.Our construction team and the quality of the homes we design and build are some of the best in Scotland. We want you to share that ambition, to bring your ideas, be passionate about the team you will lead and the new homes you will create.Key Responsibilities Deliver quality homes you are proud of and our clients lovePlan and manage daily site activities in accordance with the programme and Health & Safety guidelinesSupervise and manage all site activitiesCoordinate with the design team, local authorities as construction progressedBuild strong working relationships with our supply chain team, warranty providers and local authoritiesProactively manage site progress and report to senior managementMaintain accurate site records including statutory documentation and inspectionsEnsure the highest quality standards are met and Whiteburns reporting procedures are maintainedBe responsible for subcontract pre-start meetings, records and regular toolbox talksImplement and maintain Whiteburn Health & Safety policies in compliance with CDM Regulations 2015Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials, control of stock of site and close working relationship with the commercial teamCoordinate site logistics, including site access, deliveries, and waste managementManage regular project meetings with the sales team and Whiteburn management teamOur clients journey is key - active engagement with our clients is a must at client meetings, welcome meetings and handovers you will be the face of the Whiteburn construction team, demonstrating everything that is excellent about the home you will hand overProactively manage all client aftercare care within our timescalesKey Skills & AttributesA demonstratable leader with great communication skillsProven experience delivering residential housingAbility to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawingsProficient in construction programming and sequencingStrong understanding of Scottish Building Regulations and domestic warrant processAbility to manage multiple trades and resolve site issues effectivelySkilled in risk assessment and Health & Safety managementAmbition and attention to detail is a mustQualifications & RequirementsMinimum 10 years in a site management role on housing developmentsProven track recordExcellent communication & negotiation skillsHigh levels of organisational skillsAbility to work on own initiative, ensure deadline are met and problem solveAttention to detail and qualitySMSTS (Site Safety qualifications)CSCS Black or Gold Card (Management Level)First Aid at Work certificationFull UK driving licenceSound Commercial AwarenessPackageSalary dependent on experience+ car allowance+ pension+ Income protection+ private healthTrainingWe will give you dedicated training programme,Contact UsEmail your CV to [email protected]
