Sales Director

**Sales (Specification) Director – National – Global Construction Company**We are currently recruiting for a world leading manufacturer in their field, they own companies across 100+ countries, have over 300 factories, 15,000+ employees and sales of £7+ billion. Sales Director to lead this part of the business and help with the strategy for the whole business moving forward. The role will be focussed around managing Sales Managers who each have teams of 5-7 people.Role:Team Development and Team Leadership - Employs leadership techniques to lead, motive and develop the technical sales team to ensure each individual maximises their potential in doing so achieves our business objectives in line with our values and market approach.Product & Service Development - Drives the development of the technical sales proposition of new and existing products in a manner to enable market acceptance of a full system route to market approach to achieve forecasted sales targetsForecasting - Facilitate the exchange of information between customers, specification teams and other departments so that up to date information is available to all parties and a serviceable balance of supply and demand is maintainedMarket Management - Coordinate the development of account plans in line with the sales/technical strategy, including the negotiation of trading terms, which will deliver the best possible balance of volume, product mix and profitabilityCandidate:Proven experience as a sales management leader and of managing a field-based sales teamExperience in Specification within the construction sectorProven experience of working with cross functional teamsExcellent communications skillsProblem solvingAbility to deliver under pressure or in uncertain environmentAbility to build strong relationshipsBusiness process & Systems knowledge e.g. SAP / C4C experience/S&OPPackage:Basic Salary - negotiable based on experience (around £105,000+)BonusCar AllowanceCompany credit cardPrivate pension schemePrivate healthcare for themselves and their familyLife assuranceEmployee assistance programLong service awards
