Employee Relations Director

Meraki Talent are partnering with an established Professional Services firm, looking for a Employee Relations Partner in a brand new role. This business is forward thinking, collaborative, with multiple offices across the UK, looking for this person to be based in their Edinburgh office on a hybrid working pattern.This is a key position in the HR team, reporting directly to the HR Director, working in collaboration with the SLT.Employee Relations duties:Building and leading ER strategies that promote a positive and respectful working environmentWriting, reports, policies and papers based on legislation changesWorking with SLT to create strategic changesSupporting and advising managers and employees on a wide range of employee relations issuesHandling complex grievances, conflict resolution, and performance mattersConducting fair, thorough investigations, always with integrity and professionalismCoaching and training line managers to handle people matters confidentlyWorking with senior leaders to spot trends and proactively improve the employee experienceKeeping up to date with employment law and making sure we stay compliantContributing to broader HR projects and initiatives across the businessPerson specification:Strong ER experience, with excellent knowledge in employment legislationAbility to write policies and papers based on legislation changesGreat communication and mediation skillsProven ability to manage complex situations with empathy and professionalismA practical understanding of HR systems and reporting toolsA team player who’s proactive, organised, and able to manage multiple prioritiesA genuine interest in creating a fair, inclusive and supportive workplaceExcellent company culture, including social/team networking events, discretionary performance bonus and business bonus, volunteering days, buy and selling of annual leaveFor a private and confidential discussion please contact Yasmin Soames, available on yasmin.soames@ or please call me on 0204 5724853.
