Youth Development Worker: Unmasking Masculinity

Do you want to be part of a vibrant youth work organisation and youth movement?Do you want to work alongside young people to create meaningful social change?Answered yes?We want to hear from you!The Jack Kane Community Centre is looking to recruit an experienced and innovative Youth Development Worker to lead on our new Unmasking Masculinity Project, funded through theNational Lottery: Young Start.Unmasking Masculinity is a 3 year project that will work alongside young men (11-21yrs of age), as equal partners, on the theme of positive masculinity. Through a youth-led and co-production approach, the successful applicant will work alongside young people to provide a peer prevention/education and early intervention approach to youth violence and gender stereotypes.About us:The Jack Kane Community Centre, is situated in the Greater Craigmillar area of North East Edinburgh. We believe that children, young people and adults are powerful agents of change and we work alongside them to ensure that they are provided with opportunities to thrive and develop their skills and talents to fulfil their potential.
