Job Title: Facilities TechnicianStart Date: ASAPContract Length: 3 weeks initially- possibility of extensionHours: Monday- Friday (9am-5pm)Pay Rate: 13.18-14.66 per hourLocation: Edinburgh (EH8)Were currently seeking a Facilities Technician to join our clients team on a short-term basis with the potential for extension. This hands-on role involves general building maintenance, repairs, and support for day-to-day facilities operations across their site in Edinburgh.Key Responsibilities: Carry out maintenance inspections and perform necessary repairs on building systems, following direction from the Facilities Manager.Ensure all maintenance work is completed to a high standard and in line with safety regulations.Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.Assist in other general facilities duties such as moving equipment, replacing light bulbs,or fixing furniture. Key Skills: Background in a relevant trade (e.g., electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC). Must be proactive and fit and able to perform tasks.Good problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.Ability to work independently and take instruction.Basic knowledge of building safety and compliance standards.
