A rapidly growing retail group is looking for a Cost Manager to join them in-house. Someone who’s ready to wrangle budgets, tame spreadsheets and keep construction projects marching to plan. You’ll play a critical role in ensuring new stores, refurbishments and relocations are delivered on time, on budget and preferably with minimal drama! What You'll Be DoingCrunch numbers at the concept stage and weigh-in on early designs and optionsBuild monthly reports that tell the story behind the figuresNavigate contracts and procurementHelp keep projects legally watertight and regulation-compliantWork with internal stakeholders and external consultants (yes, occasionally herding cats) What You’ll NeedA degree in Quantity Surveying (or similar)3–5 years’ experience in cost management, ideally with retail or construction projects over £1 million but this isn’t a dealbreakerComfortable with the RIBA work stages and building regulationsMembership with RICS? Gold star. Working towards it? Still great.
