Job DescriptionFollowing a strong period of growth, our client one of the largest housing providers in the South of England is expanding their Finance team and looking to welcome an experienced Finance Business Partner on a permanent basis.The role is due to start subject to notice on a permanent basis and the salary per annum is 50,000 per annum.The ideal candidate will be a qualified or part qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACCA) and have previous experience in a front facing Business Partner role. There will be a requirement to attend the office roughly 2 days per week in Hampshire. Duties will include (but not limited to):To ensure the timely production and review of monthly management accounts and associated analysis reports with budget managersAssisting budget managers in better understanding their costs and delivering better value for moneyTo provide monthly/quarterly forecast position and assurance reports with a comprehensive supporting narrativeTo support the development of business partner relationships with colleagues and teamsbuilding strong and positive relationships with the senior leadership team, heads of service and team managersTo support the completion of annual budget setting in line with business objectives, providing financial assurance for the business area you supportCollaboration with the wider financial reporting team to ensure that services remain fit for purpose, customer focused and is overall compliant with accounting policiesAssist in the stewardship of an effective risk management framework with the business through expert advice and knowledge ensuring risks are properly escalated and are resolved in a timely mannerInstil a culture that seeks continuous improvement to provide a high-quality service to customersAssist managers in providing financial monitoring services for investment/project spend, including tracking efficiency savings versus business case targetsSupport strategic planning, providing a sophisticated modelling capability, which allows senior managers to understand the financial implications of differing scenariosWork with the Human Resources and Organisational Development team to enhance the organisations reporting on staffing and staffing related costsExperience required:Qualified (minimum part-qualified) Accountant (ACA/ACCA /CIMA) with demonstrable experience of working as a business partner, preferably within the housing sectorExtensive experience of providing financial information into key deliverables, in a timely and efficient manner, occasionally at short noticeExperience in confidently analysing and challenging information they are presented with in a constructive mannerExperience of strategically reviewing processes in order to co-ordinate improvementsExcellent analytical skillsStrong interpersonal skills, building strong working partnerships across directoratesComputer literate with advanced Microsoft Office skills, in particular strong Excel skillsRewards and Benefits:Hybrid working two days in the office per weekGenerous annual leave 28 days per yearOn-site parkingEquipment provided& many more!Working hours: 37 hours per week Monday - Friday 9am-5pmPlease note flexible working could be offered to be decided with line managerPlease note that you require recent experience to apply for this role.For further information on the position, please contact Jennifer Strang or Lowri James on 0207-430 1284 or please email enquiries to [email protected] James Andrews is acting as an employment agency and business in relation to this role.At James Andrews Recruitment Solutions we try to respond to all applications personally, however, due to the high volume of applications this is not always possible.
