Smart Repair Technician

Job DescriptionOverviewBirchwood Group is a forward-looking company with retail stores, workshops and facilities based across the south coast of Sussex and Hampshire.Reporting to the General Manager, we are looking for a Smart Repair Technician to join our team at our Pronto workshop in Eastbourne. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out smart trade and retail repairs to an excellent standard.Your duties will include but are not limited to the following:Preparing vehicles for paintwork (including masking)Attending to and repairing scratches, scuffs and dentsMixing paint to apply to vehiclesRefurbishing painted alloy wheelsRefurbishing and renovating used cars ready for resaleKnowledge, Skills and Experience Required:Experience in vehicle smart repairs (desirable)Full UK driving licenceAn excellent eye for detailThe ability to multi-taskTeam player who uses their initiative, is flexible and has a can-do attitudeExcellent problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressureOrganised and takes responsibility for their own actionsPackage:Salary: 28,000 (34,000 OTE)Hours: 42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday - 08:00 to 17:00, Saturday's 08.00 to 12.00 (1 in 2 on rota)Holiday: 22 days per year + bank holidaysBenefits: Health cash plan, subsidised vehicle purchase and aftersales scheme (upon completion of probation)
