Job Description Converting Technician Signage Production Novograf is seeking a Converting Technician to join our signage production team. This is a hands-on production role converting raw materials into high-quality finished signage products, supporting customer delivery and operational excellence.As an employee-owned organisation, Novograf provides a stable, collaborative environment where employees share in the long-term success of the business.The RoleThe Converting Technician will report to the Factory Manager, working within the wider operations function under the leadership of the Operations Director. The role involves operating and maintaining converting equipment while ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency standards are consistently met.Key ResponsibilitiesConvert raw materials into finished goods in line with customer specificationsAssemble and fabricate products including signage, folded boxes, and related itemsOperate converting equipment safely and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines, including guillotines, laminators, loggers, saws, Esko XP44s, and CNC equipmentCarry out routine equipment maintenance, including daily, weekly, and monthly checks, and support service plans for Esko equipment when requiredMeet customer deadlines while allowing sufficient time for subsequent production processesMinimise waste through adherence to procedures, best practices, and continuous improvement initiativesIdentify and label raw materials correctly once issued to the shop floorMaintain high housekeeping and cleanliness standards within the converting areaUndertake additional tasks as required to support Novografs operational and strategic objectivesAbout YouExperience in sign making or print finishing (e.g. lamination, cutting, assembly)Experience using converting or CNC equipment is desirableDigital print experience is advantageous and will support future development and training Strong attention to detail and quality standardsA proactive, reliable work ethic and willingness to learnAbility to work safely and effectively within a production environmentWorking HoursMonday Thursday: 08:15 16:45Friday: 08:15 14:30 (early finish)Why Join Novograf?Employee-owned organisation where everyone contributes to and benefits from the companys successEarly closing Fridays to support worklife balance32 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)Company pension schemeFull-time, permanent role within an established signage manufacturerSupportive team culture with clear leadership and development opportunitiesOpportunity to build technical skills across print, finishing, and converting technologies
