Custody Navigator

Apricus Resourcing are currently looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and adaptable Custody Navigator who will work in Suites in Newcastle, Sunderland, Wallsend and South Shields . these roles are working full time with standard hours 37 hours Monday-Friday (9am-5pm). Any mileage / travel expenses incurred from travelling away from the suite where the workday start will be reimbursed. PLEASE NOTE DUE TO URGENCY NEEDS TO ONLY APPLY IF YOU ALREADY NEED TO HAVE POLICE VETTING NPPV LEVEL 2 AS THEY CANNOT WAIT FOR NEW VETTING TO CLEAR. The post holder will work in collaboration with the service users who have entered custody to ensure their individual needs and support goals are identified. This is done by providing assessments, brief interventions, signposting and onward referrals to address individual needs such as substance use, mental health, employment, gambling, violence and domestic abuse. By offering comprehensive harm reduction advice and promoting support available through both the service and other key stakeholders you will contribute to the aim of reducing re-offending. Key to this is to directly liaise with service colleagues to directly schedule assessments and appointments for those in custody as determined by their triage assessment and service pathways, ensuring an appropriate and timely service offer is made. Working closely with a diverse team of professionals, including fellow colleagues, custody staff, and external agencies, ensuring a holistic and integrated approach to support.
