We specialise in helping businesses manage their waste responsibly while maximising efficiency and compliance.We are now seeking a dynamic and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team and drive customer growth, sales, and profitability across our division.Role Overview:As the Business Development Manager, you will leverage your sales expertise and passion for securing new deals to maximise customer attraction and retention, divisional revenue, and profitability.This is a field-based role, specifically targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 clients, where you will be responsible for negotiating deals, managing accounts, and forging long-term relationships with key customers. Your primary goal will be to grow the Hargreaves customer base by identifying new business opportunities and delivering tailored waste management solutions.Key Responsibilities:Drive sales and revenue growth by developing new and existing business opportunitiesSecure contracts and manage accounts with Tier 2 and Tier 3 clientsMaintain strong customer relationships and act as the primary point of contact for nominated clientsEnsure efficient fulfilment of orders and timely resolution of customer enquiries or complaintsPrepare and deliver impactful presentations, proposals, and contracts to stakeholdersCollaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance, operational efficiency, and customer satisfactionManage all aspects of customer interaction with accuracy, compliance, and commercial focusFulfil commercial administration tasks to support the growth of customer accountsChampion compliance and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) initiatives across the divisionImpact and Key Deliverables:Lead the development of new and existing business opportunitiesEfficiently manage commercial, operational, and financial functionsIncrease both existing and new business salesFulfil orders in a timely and efficient mannerPrepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and contracts to internal and external stakeholdersRepresent Hargreaves at customer functions and corporate eventsSupport divisional growth through proactive account management and administrationKnowledge and Skills Required:Essential:Proven track record in a commercial, field-based sales environmentValid driving licence and willingness to travelDesirable:Experience within the waste management industryKey Attributes:Dynamic and energetic, with proven success in B2B salesHighly determined and sales-focused, driven to exceed ambitious targetsCustomer-focused, with a genuine passion for delivering outstanding serviceSelf-motivated and independent, able to thrive autonomouslyExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, with confidence in building rapport and long-term relationshipsCommercially savvy, with strong understanding of market trends and customer needsPackage:Join our team and enjoy a competitive package:Up to 50,000 basic salaryCompany carCommission and bonuses worth up to 16,000 annually - quarterly bonus of 3000 (up to 12,000 per year), plus an annual bonus of up to 4000Hybrid workingA wide range of employee benefits Thats a total earning potential of 66,000 OTE + car, with regular quarterly rewards to keep you motivated and recognised!
