Locum Children & Families Social Worker Location: Duns (1 vacancy) & Hawick (1 vacancy) Rate: 2540 per hour Contract: Locum / Ongoing Start Date: ASAP We are currently recruiting two experienced Locum Children & Families Social Workers to join supportive and well-established teams in Duns and Hawick . These are excellent opportunities for practitioners seeking stability, manageable caseloads, and a positive multi-agency working environment. Key Responsibilities Undertake assessments of need and risk Develop and review outcome-focused care and protection plans Carry out child protection work, including Section 47 enquiries and core groups Work directly with children, young people, and families Maintain clear, accurate, and timely case records Participate in team meetings, multi-agency discussions, and supervision Requirements Social Work qualification (DipSW, CQSW, BA/MA Social Work or equivalent) SSSC registration Experience within Children & Families statutory services Strong assessment, report-writing, and communication skills Ability to manage your caseload effectively Enhanced PVG (or willingness to undertake one) What 21HSC Offers At 21HSC, we pride ourselves on supporting our locums every step of the way not just with placements, but with practical help too.
