BIM CoordinatorLocation: Edinburgh, ScotlandFulltime/PermanentOverviewOur client is a leading MEP design-and-build contractor with over 40 years’ experience delivering projects across sectors including Data Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Logistics, Industrial, and Commercial developments. Operating throughout the UK, Ireland, and Europe, they offer full lifecycle services from design and prefabrication to installation and maintenance, with a strong focus on innovation, sustainability, and digital delivery.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, manage, and coordinate BIM models for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across multiple projects.Work with project stakeholders to implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and ensure compliance with agreed standards and protocols.Coordinate MEP services with architectural and structural models to identify and resolve clashes.Collaborate with design engineers, project managers, and site teams to ensure models reflect the latest project information and design intent.Support the integration of prefabrication and modular construction elements into the BIM workflow.Produce 2D drawings, schematics, and schedules extracted from 3D models for construction and installation purposes.Maintain model accuracy throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring revisions are properly managed and documented.Conduct model audits and quality checks to ensure data integrity and adherence to industry standards.Provide BIM software support, training, and guidance to team members as required.Stay up to date with emerging BIM technologies, standards, and best practices to drive innovation within the business.Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a BIM Coordinator, BIM Technician, or similar role within the MEP, construction, or building services sector.Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, and other BIM authoring and coordination tools.Strong understanding of MEP systems and services coordination.Knowledge of BIM Level 2 standards and relevant ISO standards.Experience working on large-scale, multi-disciplinary projects.Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings and documentation.Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse project teams.Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities.
