To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.The Cancer Information and Audit Team, Ninewells Hospital Cancer Information Analyst, Band 6 Fixed Term/Secondment for 12 Months Full Time NHS Tayside is seeking an experienced analyst to work on a fixed term/secondment basis within the Cancer Information & Audit Team. The Cancer Information Analyst will work closely with the Business Unit Team Manager and Cancer Information Lead to provide a high-quality cancer information service, designed to help optimise performance across all cancer-related activities in NHS Tayside.You will consolidate, analyse, and interrogate data from various systems to improve reporting and insights into cancer services. Experience in developing and managing complex information systems and datasets, as well as processing large volumes of patient health data, is essential. You will help develop the existing cancer intelligence service by creating accessible reports and models for operational colleagues working with cancer waiting times and Cancer Trackers.You will support the development of analytical techniques to ensure NHS Tayside meets all mandatory requirements and to enhance management information for assurance, forecasting, hypothesis testing, quality improvement, and key driver analysis. The role involves exploring operational efficiencies through automation and the use of BI tools, especially given the increasing demand on cancer services.You will be the key person in supporting the development and implementation of new cancer waiting times information systems and processes. This is a critical project aimed at providing near real-time waiting times data to identify patient delays and backlogs.You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to adhere to the Code of Conduct during your employment.Hours of work: 37 hours per week.
