Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Bench Hand Joiner to join our clients team, responsible for performing various carpentry tasks in a commercial setting. The ideal candidate must have have a strong background in manufacturing timber fire doors.The roleManufacturing fire doors from technical drawings, proficiency with woodworking machinery and hand tools, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.Key responsibilities include accurately cutting and assembling timber, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining a safe and efficient workshop environment.Essential Skills & ExperienceProven experience as a Bench Hand Joiner or in a similar carpentry/joinery role is essentialTechnical Drawings: Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing documents.Tool Proficiency: Demonstrated skill and confidence in using a wide range of hand tools and power tools.Machining Knowledge: Good understanding of advanced woodworking machinery, such as dimension saws, tenoners, and spindle moulders.Finishing Knowledge: Familiarity with finishing techniques for woodCraftsmanship: Excellent attention to detail and precision in measurements and assemblyProblem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions for joinery challengesTeamwork: Capability to work effectively as part of a workshop teamPhysical Fitness: The nature of the work requires physical fitness to handle materials and perform demanding tasks.Hours of work, Monday to Thursday 7.00am - 3.30pm, Friday 7.00am - 2.00pm.Salary excellent for the right candidateJBRP1_UKTJ
