Job Description Reports To: Production ManagerNumber of direct reports - 25- 30Hours of work: Monday Thursday 8am 4.30pm, Friday 8am 1.30pm (37.5hrs pw).Who are we?Breathing Buildings, part of Volution Group plc is a leading provider of ventilation solutions. We pride ourselves on our innovation, commitment to sustainability, and dedication to quality.Position Overview:As the Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the production floor for your area, this could be Apex, Industrial, Kinetics, Econiq, sheet metal.As the Team leader you will be responsible for coordinating team activities, ensuring production targets are met, maintaining quality standards, and promoting a safe and efficient working environment.Key responsibilities:Supervise and coordinate the activities of production team membersEnsure the daily production plan is achieved to meet daily targets and quality standardsMonitor workflow and allocate resources effectively to meet deadlinesTrain, mentor, and evaluate your team to ensure high performance and adherence to company policiesImplement and monitor compliance with safety procedures and company standardsCollaborate with quality, maintenance and other departments to minimise downtime and resolve production issuesMaintain accurate production records, reports, and shift documentationSupport continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and product qualityIdentify areas for training and development to build a high-performing teamIdentify problem areas and provide workable solutionsSkills & Qualifications:At least 2 years' experience in a similar role in a Production or Manufacturing environmentStrong leadership and people management skills (experience of managing team size between 25-30 minimum)Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality controlAble to drive the team performance to achieve targetsExcellent communication and problem-solving abilitiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple prioritiesProficient in basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, ERP systems)Able to work under pressure to tight deadlinesWhat We Offer:Salary dependent on experienceAnnual leave 25 days plus bank holidaysPension - auto-enrolment after 3 months of serviceHealth Assured - Employee Assistant ProgrammeEmployee Referral Scheme - receive up to 500Quarterly Volution Values Award - 100 if nominatedOngoing training and developmentEqual opportunities: All current employees and potential employees are provided equal employment opportunities by Volution Group Plc.
