Job Title: Overhead Crane Labourer Location: Droitwich Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 16:30 Pay Rate: ?13.00 per hour Overtime: Available and encouraged - paid at 1.3x weekdays and 1.5x weekends Employment Type: Permanent, Full-Time About the Role Join a well-established structural steel fabrication business with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality steelwork for commercial and industrial projects across the UK. As an Overhead Crane Labourer, you'll play a vital role in the day-to-day movement and preparation of steel components within a busy workshop environment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with overhead crane experience and a strong work ethic. Key Duties & Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes (pendant-controlled) to move fabricated and raw steel sections safely across the workshop and yard Assist with loading and unloading steel from vehicles and storage areas Support fabrication teams by ensuring materials are positioned and handled efficiently Carry out basic labouring duties including tidying, sweeping, and waste removal to maintain a clean and safe work environment Be available for overtime during peak workloads and to support weekend production where required Requirements Experience operating overhead cranes in a steel or heavy engineering environment Confidence in handling large steel components safely and effectively Physically fit and comfortable with manual work in a production setting A proactive approach and willingness to support various tasks as part of a team Flexibility to work overtime including early starts, late finishes, and occasional Saturday mornings MAN24 TPBN1_UKTJ
