Machining Team Leader Location: DoncasterDepartment: ProductionShifts: Days / Afters (MTO), Days Only (MTS)Reports to: Machining Department ManagerAre you an experienced leader with a strong background in manufacturing or machining? We’re looking for a Machining Team Leader to oversee daily operations in a machine shop across both Make to Order (MTO) and Make to Stock (MTS) teams.In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll drive performance, safety, and quality while ensuring production plans are delivered right first time, on time and in full. With a team of around 30, you'll be responsible for allocating resources, supporting continuous improvement, managing performance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment.Key responsibilities include:Leading and motivating machine shop teams across MTO and MTS areasDelivering production plans efficiently while ensuring safety and quality standardsManaging holidays, absences, appraisals (PDRs), and trainingDriving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaborationProviding daily/weekly KPI updates to the Machining ManagerWhat we’re looking for:Strong team leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approachExcellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilitiesManufacturing experience (machining of wood products preferred)Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processesFirst Aid qualification (or willingness to train)This is a great opportunity to step into a key leadership role and make a real impact within a fast-paced production environment.
