Our portfolio includes a wide range of power, data and control cables manufactured to British and international standards, and we have a successful track record of delivering cable solutions to over 130 countries.It is Eland Cables unswerving commitment to quality and the reliability of our service, including project logistics and comprehensive technical support, that lets us consistently deliver exceptional results for our customers.The Transport fleet, covering the whole of the uk, Ireland and most of Europe has a big impact on the service we provide as Eland cables, running a mix fleet of Mercedes, Scania, DAF and Volvo totalling over 125 vehicles and trailer within the fleet.Accountability/Responsibilities:Comply with all H&S, risk assessments and safe systems of work.Fully conversant with the following Government documents.Heavy goods vehicle (HGV) inspection manualGuide to maintaining road worthiness.Contribute to improving guidelines and processes for the department.Work with the immediate and wider teams within the businessTasks:Diagnosing and rectifying all types of fleet faults/defectsYou can get further details about the nature of this opening, and what is expected from applicants, by reading the below.Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for MOT inspectionComplete maintenance work within the RM schedule.Liaising with TP suppliers to attain correct parts.Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness.Ensuring all job cards and service sheets are completed in a timely manner, including paper and electronic.Capability Behavioural Competencies:Conscientious and Accurate in their role to demonstrate a high standard of workmanship.must be technically competent and operationally aware of the safety standards that apply to the vehicles they examine, techniques of vehicle examination, diagnosis, and reporting.Ability to work:within guidelines given and to strict deadlines.under pressure.actively seek solutions to problems.as part of a team.Experience/QualificationsTechnical qualification (City & Guilds or NVQ qualifiedtechnician) or proven experience repairing & maintaining vehicles / trailers.C+E license desired but not essential for attending MOT tests at off-site ATF's.
