Machine Shop Supervisor

Machining Team Leader Location: Doncaster Department: Production Shifts: Days / Afters (MTO), Days Only (MTS) Reports to: Machining Department Manager Are you an experienced leader with a strong background in manufacturing or machining? Were looking for a Machining Team Leader to oversee daily operations in a machine shop across both Make to Order (MTO) and Make to Stock (MTS) teams. In this hands-on leadership role, youll drive performance, safety, and quality while ensuring production plans are delivered right first time, on time and in full . With a team of around 30, you''ll be responsible for allocating resources, supporting continuous improvement, managing performance, and maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient working environment. Key responsibilities include: Leading and motivating machine shop teams across MTO and MTS areas Delivering production plans efficiently while ensuring safety and quality standards Managing holidays, absences, appraisals (PDRs), and training Driving continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration Providing daily/weekly KPI updates to the Machining Manager What were looking for: Strong team leadership skills with a proactive, hands-on approach Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving abilities Manufacturing experience (machining of wood products preferred) Knowledge of continuous improvement tools and processes First Aid qualification (or willingness to train) This is a great opportunity to step into a key leadership role and make a real impact within a fast-paced production environment.55b20050-bc17-4e5d-bfce-3c406318dffc
