Job Description We are seeking an experienced Terminal Development Project Manager to lead the delivery of a significant terminal upgrade programme, with a core focus on security infrastructure and retail improvement projects.This is a highimpact position responsible for delivering projects that enhance passenger security processes, strengthen regulatory compliance, and improve commercial performancewhile ensuring safe, efficient operations within a live airport environment.This is a contract position with a duration of 2 years it will have a daily rate of 550 to 650 per day via an Umbrella (inside IR35). The role will be based in Doncaster and offers hybrid working (3 to 4 days a week in the office).You will work closely with Security, Operations, Commercial, Retail, and Compliance teams, managing projects from concept design through construction, commissioning, and final handover. Your leadership will be critical in delivering phased works that minimise disruption to passengers, airlines, and airport operations.Key ResponsibilitiesProject DeliveryLead the planning and delivery of terminal development projects, including:Aviation security infrastructure upgrades and screening facilitiesPassenger search, screening, and processing areasSecuritydriven terminal reconfigurationsRetail layout changes, fitouts, and commercial enhancementsManage the full project lifecycle: business case development, design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.Compliance & SafetyEnsure all works meet aviation security regulations, statutory requirements, and airport security programme standards.Carefully plan and manage phasing, temporary works, and operational interfaces to ensure safe operations while supporting the reopening or enhancement of airport facilities.Stakeholder & Contractor ManagementWork in partnership with internal teams (Security, Operations, Commercial, Retail, Compliance) to deliver safe, compliant, and operationally effective solutions.Coordinate contractors, designers, specialist suppliers, and retail partnersacting as the airports client representative throughout project delivery.Programme, Budget & RiskManage project budgets, schedules, risks, and change processes, providing clear and concise reporting to senior stakeholders.Support audits, approvals, and regulatory assurance activities related to security and terminal changes.What Were Looking ForEssentialProven experience delivering terminal, building, or passengerfacing infrastructure projects within an airport or similarly regulated environment.Strong understanding of:Airport terminal operationsSafetycritical / compliancedriven project deliveryExcellent stakeholder management skills, with experience engaging Operations, Security, Commercial teams, contractors, and regulators.Strong project management capabilities across programme, cost, risk, and change control disciplines.Confident communicator, able to influence and present effectively at senior level.
