Looking for a role where your operational leadership will shape how the site performs from day one?Fidra Energy is developing a major grid-scale battery asset at Thorpe Marsh and is looking for an Operations Manager to lead the safe, reliable and commercially optimised operation of the site.Reporting to the Station Director, youll lead day-to-day operations and oversee the transition from construction through to full commercial operation.What youll be responsible forLeading the operational performance of the Thorpe Marsh BESS assetPreparing the site for operations ahead of Commercial Operation Date (COD)Building and leading the site operations teamManaging OEM and O&M contractors and holding them accountable to performance obligationsMaximising asset availability and revenue performance in UK energy marketsActing as the operational interface with NESO and National Grid Electricity TransmissionEnsuring strong HSE leadership and regulatory complianceWhat youll bringYoull already have experience operating grid-scale battery energy storage assets and understand what it takes to run them safely, reliably and efficiently.Youll be comfortable leading operational teams, managing contractor relationships and ensuring complex energy infrastructure performs consistently in a live market environment.Why this role mattersThorpe Marsh will become one of the UKs most significant battery energy storage sites.
