Job Description This parttime, voluntary role requires around 3 hours per month and is ideal for:Someone retired who wants to stay active in their community, orAn earlycareer professional seeking strategic, boardlevel advisory experience.About the RoleAs Treasurer, youll play a key role in safeguarding the charitys financial wellbeing. Working closely with the CEO, Finance Manager and fellow trustees, youll help guide strategic decisions and ensure the organisations resources are used responsibly and effectively.Key Responsibilities Present budgets, accounts and financial reports Ensure financial resources meet current and future needs Lead the development of financial, reserves and investment policies Advise the Board on financial implications of strategic plans Chair the Finance SubCommittee Liaise with auditors and ensure compliance with the Charities SORP Support the fundraising strategy and incomegeneration plansYou will be a central part of maintaining robust financial governance while supporting the charitys mission to serve the Kirklees community.About YouWere looking for someone who brings: Strong judgement and strategic vision Commitment to our values and community focus Financial and governance understanding (charity/public sector desirable, not essential) Experience reporting to or advising a Board Commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion Collaborative mindset, with confidence to work independently when needed A finance qualification or equivalent experience
