Trainee Field Technician

FJA are recruiting on behalf of our client, a company specialising in the repair and maintenance of wastewater networks based in the Derry area. They are currently looking for a Water Sampling Technician based in Northern Ireland Region.All potential candidates should read through the following details of this job with care before making an application.What you'll be doingYou will use your developing expertise (working on your own or as part of a team) to resolve basic operational issues that will include:Collection of chemical and bacteriological water samples from service reservoirs, water treatment works and consumer taps.Collection of water samples from wastewater treatment sites if requiredOn-site chlorine testing of water samplesTemperature measurement of waste samples and all samples in transportReturn of water samples to the NI Water labs within agreed timescales dailyDelivery of samples between NI Water locations as and when requiredCompletion paperwork for quality assurance requirementsContinuously improve your development and knowledge while delivering great customer service for our clientsWho we're looking for?Commitment to working safely with good health and safety awarenessThe desire to develop within a team-orientated environmentBasic written, numerical and IT skillsBe flexible and customer focusedFull UK driving licenceExcellent time-keeping due to the deadlines requiredPreferably but not essential previous sampling experienceFull UK driving licencePlease note mandatory drugs and alcohol tests are undertaken for this role.What's in it for you?No day is the same and our people are integrally involved in defining our culture, behaviours and success.
