Group Payroll Manager

Our Derby-based client is looking for a hands on Group Payroll Manager to join them as soon as possible on a temporary basis with a view to becoming permanent. This is a pivotal role in leading the transition of four separate in-house payrolls onto one unified system (SAGE) and supporting the move from salaried to hourly-paid staff.This is a fantastic opportunity to take a high-level, strategic view of payroll operations while still staying close enough to the detail to ensure accuracy and compliance.Key Responsibilities:Lead the integration of payrolls from four companies within the group into one SAGE payroll systemManage the transition from salaried to hourly pay structuresOversee and support the Payroll Administrator, who handles much of the data inputTake ownership of payroll queries, pension administration, reporting, and liaison with managers across the businessWork closely with finance on payroll-related duties and ensure compliance with legislationHappy to assist with inputting of payroll data when volumes riseAbout You:Strong experience in payroll management, ideally with multi-site or group structuresConfident in SAGE payroll systemsSkilled in managing change and process improvementAble to take a helicopter view of operations while ensuring the detail is rightExcellent communicator who can work collaboratively across departmentsBenefits and hours:Competitive salary up to 47,000 (DOE)Working hours of 8:30 am until 4:30 pm (30 minutes for lunch)25 days holiday + bank holidaysOpportunity to make a real impact in a key transitional period for the businessSupportive working environment in a well-established Derby-based companyJBRP1_UKTJ
