Job DescriptionJOB- Area Sales Manager LOCATION- Midlands TERM- PermanentSALARY- 38,000 - 42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)PACKAGE - Commission, Company Car, HealthcareMy client works within the engineering manufacturing sector and they are looking to take on an Area Sales Manager, on a permanent basis, to cover the Midlands area.The Area Sales Manager will ideally have the following attributes:Previous experience working in a Sales (Technical, Internal, Key Account, Field) role or similar in the engineering industry ideallyHave a good understanding of the wholesale distribution modelPrevious experience selling POS / electrical products through wholesale channels would be preferredAn appreciation of wholesaler buying groups would be beneficial such as AWEBB, ANEW etc. Qualification in Electrical Engineering or similar (NVQ / HNC / HND / Degree or similar) would be desirable but its not essential Have worked with a CRM system beforeFull UK Driving Licence is essentialHave excellent communication skills both verbal and writtenBe self-motivated and have a positive attitude to develop business and AccountsBe keen to develop with the company long term there are progression opportunities tooThe Area Sales Manager role will involve:Taking responsibility for a designated territory looking to develop the existing accounts further Selling point of sale electrical components through wholesalersAccount development and relationship managementAlways looking to drive revenue growth Managing your own diary 1-day WFH and then out on the road for the rest of the week visiting customer sitesAchieving and exceeding sales targets that are set on a monthly and yearly basisWorking with the internal technical support and product management teams to ensure customer satisfactionReporting on the CRM system, providing sales forecasts and looking at market trendsDelivering product training to wholesale partners to help them with selling Identifying new business opportunities within the territory too If you are interested in this position, please apply with an up-to-date CV as soon as possible, along with your availability and your salary expectation.
