Job DescriptionJob Title: Event Operator Live Events & AV InstallationsLocation: DerbyType: Full-time | 37.540 hours/week (flexibility required)Salary: 24,000 - 27,500 per yearAre you a practical, hands-on professional with a passion for live events? Do you love being part of a team that brings exhibitions, activations, and roadshows to life? We're working with a leading events company to find a reliable Event Operator to join their Operations team.The Opportunity:As an Event Operator, you'll play a key role in delivering and setting up scenic assets and AV equipment at live events across the UK. From prepping in the warehouse to working on-site with clients, youll be at the heart of the actionensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.This is a great opportunity for someone whos proactive, practical, safety-conscious, and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.What Youll Be Doing:Delivering, installing, and de-rigging brand assets for exhibitions, activations, and roadshowsSetting up and troubleshooting basic AV equipment (e.g. screens, lighting)Liaising on-site with clients, venues, and third-party suppliersLeading or supporting freelance/local crews during installsPrepping and loading vehicles with equipment in the warehouseDriving company vans (up to 3.5T), with occasional overnight stays and weekend workMaintaining stock and using internal asset tracking systemsSupporting the fabrication team with basic maintenance and repairsFollowing all H&S protocols, RAMS, and site safety standardsWhat Were Looking For:Full clean UK driving licenceConfident using hand tools and lifting equipment safelyStrong communicator with great client-facing skillsAwareness of health & safety procedures and site protocolsBasic IT skills (email, spreadsheets, stock systems)Flexibility to work varied hours including early starts, weekends, and overnightsAble to stay calm under pressure and troubleshoot on-siteDesirable:Experience in live events, AV, or warehouse environmentsForklift licence (counterbalance or reach truck)First Aid or H&S qualification (IOSH/NEBOSH)Benefits:Competitive salary (based on experience)Company pension schemeBonus schemeTraining & development opportunitiesBe part of an experienced and supportive team Interested?Apply now or reach out directly for a confidential chat.Know someone who might be a good fit?
