Mechanical Design Engineer

Cure Talent is delighted to partner a leading UK manufacturer specializing in the design and production of high-quality packaging machinery solutions for the medical device industry. We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join this companys engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical design principles and will play a crucial role in designing and developing packaging machinery, automation equipment, jigs and fixtures to meet both company and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Deliver mechanical design expertise across the full project lifecycle, from concept, design, and build through to testing and commissioning Design components, mechanisms, and assemblies in SolidWorks, producing detailed drawings, specifications, and Bills of Materials Support procurement and subcontract manufacture, selecting suitable materials, components, and manufacturing methods Produce and maintain mechanical and technical documentation, including Technical Files, Operator Instructions, and Maintenance Instructions Ensure projects meet performance, quality, regulatory, Health and Safety, and continuous improvement requirements What Were Looking For: Experience in designing packaging or automation equipment Degree in Design, Engineering, or a related field Experience working with medical packaging and/or medical devices Strong proficiency in SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) Understanding of engineering and workshop machinery If this sounds like you and you would thrive in a collaborative, fast paced medical device engineering environment, we would love to hear from you.
