Job Description About the role We are seeking a skilled and experienced PSV Electrician to join our engineering team. This role involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing electrical systems on Public Service Vehicles (PSVs), ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with industry standards.Key responsibilitiesCarry out electrical diagnostics, fault finding, and repairs on PSV vehiclesMaintain and repair electrical systems including lighting, wiring, batteries, and control systemsPerform scheduled maintenance inspections in line with company and DVSA standardsWork on modern vehicle systems including CAN bus and multiplex wiringEnsure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standardComplete job cards, maintenance records, and compliance documentation accuratelyAssist in breakdown response and on-road repairs when requiredCollaborate with the wider engineering team to meet fleet availability targetsRequirementsProven experience as an electrician, ideally within PSV, HGV, or automotive environmentsStrong fault-finding and diagnostic skillsKnowledge of modern vehicle electrical systems (CAN bus experience desirable)Relevant qualifications in vehicle maintenance or electrical engineering (e.g. NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamFlexible approach to working shifts, including weekendsFull UK driving licence (PCV licence desirable but not essential)What we offerStable, full-time hours (39 per week)Shift flexibility (any 5 days from 7)Ongoing training and development opportunitiesSupportive and professional working environment
