Were partnering with a leading manufacturing organisation seeking a Manufacturing Production IT MES Engineer to join their operations team on a permanent basisThis is a hands-on, technically challenging role supporting high-volume production systems and driving digital transformation across manufacturing operations. Youll act as the link between IT, engineering, and production, ensuring system reliability, delivering integration projects, and contributing to wider Industry 4.0 initiatives.The experience expected from applicants, as well as additional skills and qualifications needed for this job are listed below.Key ResponsibilitiesEnsure high up-time and reliability of manufacturing IT and MES systems supporting assembly operationsTroubleshoot and resolve system and hardware issues on production lines, ensuring minimal downtimeDesign and implement integration solutions connecting hardware such as scanners, RFID, and printers to MES systemsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and production process improvementsTranslate business and production requirements into technical specifications and IT change requestsParticipate in digitisation and automation projects, contributing to continuous improvement and Industry 4.0 goalsCreate and maintain technical documentation and support knowledge sharing within the teamProvide mentorship and technical support to colleagues and production staffEssentialStrong background in Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) or assembly management systemsHands-on experience integrating production hardware (scanners, printers, RFID)Strong understanding of production processes and manufacturing environmentsProven involvement in Industry 4.0 or digitisation projectsExcellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.DesirableExposure to AMS+ or similar MES platformsFamiliarity with PLCs, scripting, or database integration for production systemsExperience within automotive, electronics, or advanced manufacturing sectors
